Friends of Brightwalton
FOBS is the catchy acronym given to the wonderful group of parents, carers, guardians and staff who make up the Friends of Brightwalton School. FOBS is headed up by a Committee of dedicated volunteers who have theirs and your children’s best interests at heart.
The Committee always welcome new parents to get involved and greatly value everyone’s thoughts and ideas. Being an active member of FOBS is a great way to be more involved in school life, offering parents the opportunity to get to know other families and contribute a little of their time towards enhancing the children's experience of school and setting a great example to the children of how to “shine your light”.
What We Do: We are passionate about our school and helping our children to be the best that they can be. In order to do this, at the beginning of the academic year we set out the fundraising targets for the year ahead and give 100% effort to try to achieve them. Over the years we have raised money to help the school in numerous ways thanks to the huge efforts from children, parents and staff alike. We always welcome any new ideas and also as much or as little support as anyone can offer. Our usual events and initiatives to raise money include:
· Party in the Playground
· Second Hand Uniform Sales
· Movie Night
· Christmas Fair
· Discos
· Bunny Bingo
· Village Fete
· Sports Day Refreshments
· Cake / Ice Lollies / Raffle Sales
· Sponsored Events & Competitions
· Brightwalton’s Got Talent
Every year we fundraise for:
· Book Bags for Ash Class new starters
· Leavers Hoodies for Year 6
· Bi-annual Pantomine trip
· Ice lollies for all children on Sports Day
· Cost of Village Hall hire for Sports Day
· Supplies to enrich classroom learning
